The Annual major fundraising event is underway! All players will have received a plain white envelope with their names on it over the past few days. Normally seen as a 'bung' this envelope contains tickets galore. Yes, Duck Race tickets which we ask you to sell as quickly as you can in order to generate as much dosh as possible.
So please do what you can to sell your tickets and get the money and stubs back to Sue M as soon as possible.
But given that we have a sparkling new pavilion (nearly finished), we want to make the day more than a paddle in the River Nidd. So we have earmarked the afternoon for a Twenty:20 game, inter-club, relaxed and casual but a bit of sporting enjoyment for all to take part in or to simply watch with a chilled bottle in hand, Sadly, other teams are not available to take part so lets earmark the day for some DBCC sporting hilarity and fundraising fun!
If the sun is out and its warm (even if it's not), we'll get a BBQ going, serve up some chilled beverages and have a club day. "Club Day" in my book is defined as as many supporters, members, partners, kids etc etc getting together at the Club to spend a little money and in return have a laugh.
