A great achievement has been made by our erstwhile President, Eric Houseman. Eric approached Waitrose in Harrrogate asking for support for DBCC through their Community Support project.
And he has succeeded! DBCC will be one of three beneficiaries of the Support project during December. Each time a customer pays for their shopping at Checkout they are given, or take, a green counter, dropping this into their local project of choice on the way out of the store. At the end of the month, a proportion of the Community pot is allocated to each of the three projects. The project with the most counters will get the most money!
December is the busiest month of the year for supermarkets. A proportion of the community pot will be a great way to boost our funds.
So if you are shopping in the Harrogate store, please select Dacre Banks CC as your project by dropping the all-important counter into the pot. And ask your friends and family to also visit Waitrose and support us through the scheme.
