Well Gents it is time for a massive reality check . So far for the friendly against a team travelling a fare distance we have 8 players down , no ground or pavilion preparation work done , and it appears little enthusiasm to do any . This game , in fairness to the visitors , should be cancelled now .
We also only have 13 committed to week one in the league . We need to seriously consider our options . As the question of numbers was raised as early as the AGM in November , we appear to have had our heads in the sand , or I am overly pessimistic and everybody else sees a different picture than I do. The second team can not go week after week with 8/9 men ( even if we have that many ) . Everybody will soon get pretty cheesed off , resulting in possibly players looking for a move. JK has done a fine job with the availability sheet , but we need to be real . There are several players on the list who are not , nor were they going to play . Their names need removing to give us a more accurate position , and everybody else needs to do what has ben requested and fill it in.

The friendly on Saturday remains on. The opposition are bringing 14 players and are more than happy to share these with us. They are aware that we have had difficulty raising a side for Saturday so have no issues with this. For the longer term remember we have Waqas and his mate signed up to play the season saw ell as Simar from Waitrose none of whom have access to the Blog yet but will have next week.
