Coaching Courses 2015

I have been in touch with numerous individuals about Cricket Coaching courses scheduled to be held near to us this winter.  There are various options which can be summarised as follows:

1.  Starter Coach options (Coach Support Workers course)

This is the basic introductory course and provides details on how to assist a qualified coach in running cricket sessions for youngsters between 6-13 years old .  The course comprises 2 x 3 hour sessions.

At the moment, no CSW courses are scheduled for our locality.  However a meeting is being held in November by the YCB at which a course dates and location for North Yorkshire will be arranged.

2. ECB Certificate in Coaching Children's Cricket

A more comprehensive course designed to teach you to lead coaching sessions.  This is more detailed and further information on the content can be found here:

This option is being run at Leeds Beckett University starting in January 2015.

Those of you who have expressed an interest will ideally sign up for the first option.  If you want to skip this and get stuck into the second option please let me know and I'll find out if this is feasible.

Please give this serious thought as we need to develop a group of qualified coaches to carry the junior section forward.  It is an enjoyable experience undertaking these courses and certainly helps you to improve your own game as well.  Where do you think I got my square leg shot from?!!
