Frustrating weekend of activities being postponed or cancelled. In particular was the lack of support for Sue M's cake stall which was scheduled to take place this morning in Pateley Bridge. Everyone knew about it as a leaflet was put out with the Duck Race tickets to each player. Only 6-7 cakes were produced to sell.
We only run three fundraising events each year to support the club and keep your membership fees down. 6-7 cakes is not going to help. Its a waste of time and effort.
Sue M doesn't do this for her own benefit but yours. Even if you went a bought a cake to sell this would make a surprisingly high amount of money when sold.
Either club members and supporters get behind the club in raising money through simple events like this or subs will go up. Its your club so its up to you all to make it work. Make a commitment and it'll help otherwise it'll all be over.
