Well done DBCC II in the 2nd round of the Peter Bentley Cup last night, particularly to Ecky, Shaun and Gilly with the bat, as Dacre posted 126/5. The highlights of which were an effortless 6 over the pavilion onto the tennis courts from Shaun and a smooth maximum from Gilly in the opposite direction. Good to see Shaun find some form with the bat. Excellent bowling from Gilly and Shaun, ably assisted by JK and Glyn, and backed up with crucial catches in the deep from Nic Wray and Ecky, who juggled one to dismiss Jamie Russell, a previous tormentor of the Dacre 2nd XI, secured the victory, by restricting Killinghall III to 106/8. The reward is a home tie in the next round against Ripley III on Thursday 19 June. Hope you can make this one Rory and that Louise enjoyed her birthday meal!
